Who Does the Work

We’re the GC. Licensed Master Plumbers Do the Plumbing.

Henry’s Improvements is a registered NJ home improvement contractor (HIC #13VH10251400) and the general contractor on your project. We are not a plumbing contractor. All plumbing and gas work is done by licensed master plumbers who pull the plumbing permit in their own name and carry their own insurance. Their name and license number are on your contract before any work starts.

Our job: scope, pricing, scheduling, inspections, and making sure plumbing lines up with every other trade, so you have one point of contact.

What We Cover

Restaurant & Café Plumbing

Three-compartment, prep, hand and mop sinks, dishwasher and ice machine lines, and floor drains, laid out to pass your health inspection the first time.

Grease Traps & Interceptors

Grease traps and interceptors sized for your kitchen, with the access your hauler needs and the setup your town and sewer authority require.

ADA Restrooms

Accessible restrooms with the right fixture heights, clearances and grab bars, framed and finished by our crew so the whole room passes.

Water Heaters

Commercial tank and tankless water heaters sized to your demand, plus mixing valves and recirculation where hot water takes too long to arrive.

Gas Lines & Backflow

Gas piping for kitchen equipment, heaters and HVAC, and backflow preventers installed and tested to meet your water utility’s rules.

Drains, Sewer & Repairs

Camera inspections, clogged and slow drains, leaks, sewer line repairs and fixture replacements, including emergency work between tenants.

Spaces We Work In

Restaurants & Cafés

Kitchen sinks, grease traps, gas for cooking equipment and customer restrooms, phased around your opening date.

Offices & Medical

Restrooms, break rooms and the hand sinks and fixtures clinics and med spas need in treatment rooms.

Multi-Unit & Landlords

Water heaters, risers, leaks and fixture swaps, with repairs handled fast between tenants.

Retail & Salons

Shampoo and service sinks, customer restrooms and water heaters sized for a busy day.

How It Works

01 Step One

Scope & Site Review

Before we price the job, we walk the space with our plumber and check where water, waste, vent and gas lines can run, the size of the existing service, and what your fixtures and equipment will need. Finding out the drain line is in the wrong place is the most expensive surprise in a fit-out, so we find it first.

02 Step Two

Permits Under the Right License

The plumbing permit is pulled by the licensed master plumber under their own license. Building permits go under our HIC registration. Two separate filings, both done right, so nothing stalls at the town.

03 Step Three

Rough-In on Your Schedule

Underground and in-wall piping is timed with demo, framing, electrical and HVAC so trades aren’t waiting on each other. If you’re staying open, we schedule water and gas shutoffs around your hours.

04 Step Four

Inspection & Closeout

We schedule the rough and final inspections, handle any corrections with the inspector and the plumber, set and test every fixture, and walk the finished system with you before we hand the space back.

Good to Know

Are you a plumbing contractor?

No. We’re the general contractor. The plumbing and gas work is done by licensed master plumbers under their own license and permits. We manage the scope, schedule and inspections so you deal with one company.

Does my restaurant need a grease trap?

Almost always, if you cook or wash dishes on site. The size and type depend on your kitchen and your town’s rules. We confirm that in the site review, before you get a price.

Can you work while my business stays open?

Yes. We phase the work and schedule water and gas shutoffs around your hours so you can keep serving customers.

Where do you do commercial work?

Commercial projects across New Jersey. Tell us the address and we’ll confirm we can take it on.

Can you just do plumbing, without a full renovation?

Yes. Water heaters, drain and sewer repairs, fixture replacements and backflow work can be booked on their own. Tell us what you need and we’ll set up a walkthrough.
