Repairs we do, and trades we bring in
Henry's Improvements is a registered New Jersey home improvement contractor — HIC Reg. #13VH10251400 — fully insured, with our registration and certificate of insurance available on request.
Anything involving electrical or plumbing work — outlets, switches, dimmers, ceiling fans, hardwired fixtures, disposals, water lines — is performed by licensed New Jersey electrical contractors and master plumbers, who pull their own permits where one is required. We price that into the job upfront so there's no surprise on the invoice and no unlicensed hands on your wiring.
What we get called for most
No Job Too Small
Most handyman outfits won't come out for under four hours. We bill at $150/hr with no minimum, so a twenty-minute fix costs what a twenty-minute fix should cost. Send us one item or a list of fifteen.
Licensed and Insured
Registered with the State of New Jersey, fully insured, and backed by licensed electricians and plumbers when a job calls for them. We'll send you our registration and certificate of insurance before we start.
We Clean Up
Drop cloths down, floor runners in the walkways, dust contained, and everything swept and hauled out before we leave. You shouldn't be able to tell we were there except that the thing works now.
How it works
Send us your list
Text or email us what needs doing — photos help. We'll tell you roughly how long it should take and flag anything that needs a licensed electrician or plumber so you know the real cost before we show up. Work is billed at $150 per hour plus materials, with no minimum.
We arrive when we said we would
Our truck comes stocked with the common fasteners, anchors, patching compound and hardware, so we're not driving to the store on your clock. We protect floors and furniture before anything else happens.
We do it right the first time
Anchors into studs, drywall patches feathered and primed so the repair disappears under paint, doors shimmed square rather than forced. If something turns out bigger than it looked, we stop and tell you before spending your money on it.
Clean up and walk through
We clean the work area, haul out the debris, and walk you through every item on the list so you can see it working before we go. You get an itemized invoice showing hours and materials separately — nothing rolled into a mystery number.
